Getting Started

Welcome to Rock8.ai! This guide will help you create your first voice agent and get it running in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

  • A Rock8.ai account (sign up at rock8.ai)
  • A phone number (we'll help you set this up)
  • Basic understanding of AI and voice technology concepts

Step 1: Create Your First Agent

Navigate to the Agents section and create your AI voice agent.

  1. Go to Agents section and click "Create with Template" or "Create from Scratch"
  2. Enter your agent name and description
  3. Configure voice and basic settings
  4. Save your agent

Step 2: Configure Phone Numbers

Set up your phone numbers to receive calls for your voice agent.

  1. Go to Phone Numbers section
  2. Choose your provider Plivo or Twilio(IN or US)
  3. Rent or configure your phone number
  4. Link the number to your agent

Step 3: Upload Knowledge Base

Upload documents that your agent can reference during conversations.

  1. Navigate to Knowledge Base section
  2. Upload PDF, URL, or FAQ files
  3. Organize your documents by category
  4. Test knowledge retrieval

Step 4: Import Your Audience

Create and manage your contact lists for targeted calling campaigns.

  1. Go to Audiences section
  2. Click "Create New Audience"
  3. Upload your CSV file with contact data
  4. Map the phone number column in your CSV
  5. Set country code for phone numbers
  6. Review and save your audience

Step 5: Create Your First Campaign

Launch your first calling campaign to reach your audience.

  1. Go to Campaigns section
  2. Click "Create New Campaign"
  3. Select your agent and audience
  4. Configure campaign settings and timing
  5. Set up call scheduling (immediate or scheduled)
  6. Launch your campaign

Step 6: Test Your Agent

Make a test call to ensure everything is working correctly.

  1. Use the test call feature in your agent dashboard
  2. Ask common questions to test responses
  3. Check the conversation logs
  4. Make adjustments as needed

Step 7: Deploy and Monitor

Go live and monitor your agent's performance.

  1. Activate your agent for live calls
  2. Set up monitoring and alerts
  3. Review analytics and performance metrics
  4. Iterate and improve based on data
